Associated Petroleum Industries of PA

What is API? During this education course you will be introduced to the Associated Petroleum Industries of Pennsylvania, a division of the American Petroleum Institute. After a brief history of oil and natural gas drilling in Pennsylvania, an overview of the shale formations in Pennsylvania- the Marcellus and Utica will be given. The presentation will then cover the 4 phases of shale development: pre-drilling, drilling, hydraulic fracturing (completion) and production. The course will then examine the economic impact of the oil and natural gas industry and will conclude with an overview of the regulatory aspects of the oil and natural gas industry.
